Cool report of my car but I didn't want it. They sold me a diagnostic scan I didn't want nor acknowledge I was getting until it was time to pay. They gave me a very detailed report on my 2007 Prius noting all that needed repaired but no quotes. You have to call for that which is fine but why the texted report if it doesn't have prices? $1100 for brakes-ouch No thanks but I still had a nail in my tire and critters in the glovebox so they did a tire repair and glove box filter for $220. Seems high to me oh wait it's that fancy report I got:(
Annette, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I never like getting what I would consider a negative review, so I inquired with Derrick, the employee you talked to on the phone and when you dropped the vehicle off. He recalled specifically that when you called for an appointment, you indicated you had a rubbing noise you wanted checked out. He asked you for authorization to diagnose the issue. You agreed to it. When you dropped the vehicle off, you indicated that in addition to the rubbing noise, you also had a clicking noise. He reconfirmed our level 1 of diagnostic time and you agreed. He also informed you that we do a courtesy inspection on any vehicle that comes in for service. This is not mandatory, had you told him you did not want the inspection, we would not have done it. We do these inspections because we feel it is important for our customers to understand what the overall condition of their vehicles, especially given the cost of repairs right now. Imagine that you had a ball joint getting ready to separate, and while your car was in for service nobody mentioned it to you. I suspect most customers would be pretty agitated if that happened to them. That being said, I never have and never will force anyone to do the repairs we recommend. It's your car and your money, not mine. The inspection we send you is a nice inspection, our customers love it. In regards to your bill, I am not sure why you would think any facility would diagnose your noises, and not charge you for their time when you decline repairs. I am not sure what scan you are talking about, we dedicated the testing time to test driving your car and tracking down the noises you asked us to find. If my technicians have to spend time diagnosing an issue, regardless of what it is, I still have to pay them. I thank you for giving us an opportunity to provide you service.
