Old Fashioned Service We're from Savannah Georgia and were passing thru. Our car broke down in Mantula, OH at a Marathon service station. The women were awesome, they referred us to Jimyz. Once we got our car towed into their shop the manager, Chuck went to work on making us feel EXTRA special! They offered drinks, phone chargers and anything else he could think of! LOL! They quickly got our car into the shop area, figured out what was wrong with it, gave us a reasonable quote and waited to hear of what we wanted to do. Our engine was blown so we decided to get a rental car and Chuck even helped with that. Jimyz went WELL BEYOND the call of duty for us and I can't say thank you enough.

I am in a business group with Jim Shukys, the owner, and he always presents himself in a professional manner. He delivers excellent customer service for a reasonable price and will go out of his way to make sure your car is fixed and that you are satisfied. Your auto needs are definitely in good hands with him and he has earned my trust!

Jimyz Automotive does not honor their NAPA warranty of 1 year or 12,000 miles. NAPA stated that he is independent and will not cover it. Jimmy does not do the work himself. He is the secretary / manager. The day he worked on my car, only 1 mechanic was working. His other mechanic was out due to personal issues. He did not test drive my car nor did he fill the radiator full. From what I was told by NAPA there are 2 Jimmy's - one who is at the sales desk and one with a chip on his shoulder. His hourly rate of $90 / hour is almost the same as a dealership. He was complaining about his weight on the day I was there. Maybe he was just having a bad day. I would not recommend him. I took my vehicle to a dealership who fixed my issues right away. Make sure you get a quote up front. He likes to change his prices after the work is completed. He always finds something else that needs fixed. He does not comply with EPA or OSHAA rules.

Good and honest place to take your vehicle for just about any type of repair. They replaced the spark plugs on my 2007 Toyota RAV4 Limited V6 for $200 cheaper than my dealer. I even had them put a custom chrome exhaust tip on my RAV two years ago, no job too small either. Jimyz is an honest business who charges a fair price and does great work. They are very personable and professional to deal with, they really care about their work and the feedback they receive. I would have given them a 5-star review if they had extended hours. But I understand that Jimmy and his employees deserve a life outside of work by having their weekends and evenings free just like the rest of us. But I would be able to give them more business if they were open later.

Several years ago I was refereed to Jimyz Automotive by a friend and since that day I will not take my car anywhere else. They have not only worked on my cars but also my daughters. Jimmy and the guys always go above and beyond for their customers. One time in particular, I brought my car in for service on the same day my son had a school function and I didn't have another car to use, so Jimmy made sure that not only did I make it there in time, but my car was done by the time the school function was over. The best thing is, is that for me as a single parent on a limited income, I know I can take my car to Jimmy and the guys and not get the run around. They will let me know exactly what I need, the cost of it, and not try to sell me on something that I don't need. Jimmy has always just been a phone call away and I hope they know how much I appreciate it. Jimmy, you guys are wonderful!! Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do!!

Needed a new muffler 'fast' and they came through for me in a few hours. Very friendly and good reliable service. I am going to make it my place to go now even for my oil changes.

My car started making a really bad grinding noise and I called Jimyz and they were able to get me in soon as they opened the next day and finished my car the same day. My car needed a lot done and the owner drove me back to my apartment while they worked on my car and picked me up when they were finished. I have never had this great of an experience dealing with any automotive place. The man who was helping me, Chuck, was extremely nice and knowledgeable. As sad as I was to be having car troubles Jimyz definitely made it a good experience. I will definitely be a return customer!! I had went to firestone before and they gave me a quote of 2,600 in repairs! I told them everything they told me was wrong and they informed me of half the stuff that FireStone had told me wasn't even true! Also, when looking at my bill they were the first place I've been to that will not completely ruin you with labor charges!!! Love Jimyz!

If I lived closer, these guys would be my mechanic shop!! While on a road trip my husband and I broke down on the Ohio turnpike, thankfully the tow truck driver brought us to Jimyz. We were terrified that once they saw our Ontario plate they would know they could rip us off because we had to have the truck fixed to get home. Jimyz was honest, upfront, reasonable and genuinely concerned about our safety. They had us fixed and back on the road in less time than we were waiting for the tow truck. We made it from Ohio to Pittsburgh to Ontario with no problems and have been driving around at home for a few weeks now. The level of customer service was far above any I have ever received. Who can say they have received a handwritten thank you card, follow up (long distance) phone call and a safe travels parting gift from there mechanic? I can!! Thank you to the staff at Jimyz for getting me home safe and on time to our hockey game. Jim you run one hell of a great business.
